Hotfix 1.6.4 dropped 2026-09-23 and addresses several critical bugs that emerged after the mid-season patch. Server stability is the headline fix.
Server Stability Fixes
- Disconnect during Pit boss — fixed; players can now rejoin within 60 seconds without losing rewards
- Helltide chest despawn — chests now remain interactable for 5 minutes after the Helltide ends (was instant)
- Trading Post lag — fixed the 30-second freeze that affected high-traffic trading sessions
- World boss spawn collision — fixed multiple cases where two world bosses would spawn in the same zone simultaneously
Item Duplication Exploit (Critical)
The biggest fix in this patch:
The crafting station exploit that allowed duplicating Ancestral items via specific salvage + craft sequences has been patched. Accounts that triggered this exploit in the past 7 days will be flagged for review; affected items may be rolled back. If you obtained items via this bug, do not equip, salvage, or trade them — Blizzard will handle it.

Known Issues (Not Yet Fixed)
- Spiritborn Eagle Spirit visual effect sometimes plays twice on dodge
- Stash tab icons occasionally show the wrong number after mass salvage
- Trading Post listings from EU servers may show incorrect prices on NA clients

This hotfix is a ~120MB client patch and does not require downtime. Apply at next login.
