Chapter 1: Origins
Lilith was born from Mephisto (Lord of Hatred) and an unknown demon mother during the Great Conflict. She is the daughter of one of the three Prime Evils.
Chapter 2: The Sin War
Lilith joined forces with the angel Inarius to escape the Eternal Conflict. Together they created Sanctuary, a hidden world where demons and angels could live in peace. Lilith and Inarius had children together — the Nephalem.
Chapter 3: The Exile
When Heaven and Hell discovered Sanctuary's existence, they formed an uneasy truce to destroy it. Inarius, fearing for his children, turned against Lilith and banished her to the Void.
Chapter 4: Return
Millennia later, Mephisto (who was imprisoned in a Soulstone) reached out to Lilith through the Helltide. Lilith returned to Sanctuary, weakened but alive, and began amassing followers — the Cult of the Daughter.
Chapter 5: The Main Quest
The player character investigates the Helltide outbreaks, learns of Lilith's return, and discovers her plan to corrupt the Worldstone. Through five story acts, you track Lilith's influence across Sanctuary.
Chapter 6: Confrontation
In the World Tier 4 Capstone dungeon, you confront Lilith directly. She reveals her plan: to corrupt the Worldstone and remake Sanctuary in her image, eliminating mortals. After a 3-phase battle, you defeat and banish her back to the Void.
Epilogue
Despite Lilith's defeat, fragments of her power remain in Sanctuary. The Vessel of Hatred expansion explores her legacy through the Spiritborn class, which channels fragments of her essence through animal spirits.
